PANJIM: The Panjim police arrested two minors for alleged murderous assault on history-sheeter Suryakant Kambli at Tonca, Caranzalem on Monday night.
According to the police, the two minor boys aged 17 and 15 are residents of an area in Panjim.
The 17-year-old accused was apprehended earlier as well in an attempt to murder case and was lodged in Apna Ghar, police said and was released recently.
Surya, 55, was assaulted with a knife by the duo wearing masks while he was getting into his car at Tonca, Cazanzalem on Monday night. Thereafter the two unknown assailants fled from the scene. The incident took place around 10 pm near Ferns Bar at Tonca, Caranzalem.
Police recorded the statement of Surya, who is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit at GMC, Bambolim. The police stated that Surya has eight cases filed against him at multiple police stations.
