Anjuna Police on Thursday arrested two Nigerian nationals on charges of possessing illegal drugs worth Rs 20,000 and overstaying in India in two separate incidents at Anjuna.
In the first incident, Felix Okara Sundi (33) was arrested on charges of possessing illegal narcotic Cocaine (3 gms) worth Rs 20,000.
Sundi was intercepted by Anjuna Police team, who was carrying out its drive against foreign nationals overstaying in India without valid documents. When Sundi was searched, he was in possession of the illegal narcotics in his van. He was later arrested by Anjuna Police.
In the second incident, Uchanna Peter Obina (40) was arrested on charges of overstaying in India. Obina was renting a place in Arpora.
The cases are being invested by PSI Videsh Pilgaonkar under the supervision of PI Manjunath Dessai. Anjuna Police team have so far arrested eight Nigerian nationals since the commencement of the drive a few days ago.
