PANJIM: Responding to a query during Wednesday’s Lok Sabha session, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal mentioned that two railway stations in Goa have been modernised.
“Upgradation/modernisation/beautification of stations of Indian Railways is a continuous and on-going process. Presently, Railway stations are upgraded/modernised under ‘Adarsh’ Station Scheme based on identified need of providing better enhanced passenger amenities at stations,” said Goyal.
He then gave a list of 1,201 stations in India that have been developed under that ‘Adarsh’ scheme. Two railway stations from Goa figured in that list.
