2 Russians rescued at Cavelossim

Dristhi beach management group has rescued two Russian tourists from drowning at the Cavelossim beach on Friday evening.
Oliya Vintade (51) and Zakiyana Vintade (45) had entered in the no swim zone area and were in chest deep waters. The duo panicked and as made gestures for help as they were pulled by the strong currents, lifeguard Premanad Velip rushed to their help with a rescue boat.
Lifeguard Sushant Gaonkar and Damodar Naik also swam towards the two victims with the rescue tube.
Finally, lifeguard Premanand Velip secured both victims with rescue board and brought them safely to the shore. The duo were discharged after their vitals were found satisfactory.
