PANJIM: The State government has selected 20 students for the ‘Goa Scholars 2016-17’ scheme to pursue studies abroad.
Those selected are Antariksh Dicholkar for European Wind Energy Master (double degree programme), Nidhi Vinayak Angle for MSE Computer Science and Information Science, Praharsh Pravin Pai Raikar for Energy Science and Technology MSc, Raj Rauji Desai for Doctor of Philosophy, Shelsea Tina Monteiro for MSc in Embedded Systems, Amruta Pai for MS-PHD Electrical and Computer Engineering, Chris Gujrao for Master Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Susmit Santosh Kamat for DM Cardiology Anaesthesiology., Chinmayee PrabhuDesai for MSs in Electrical Engineering, Lakshmi Pradip Salelkar for MSc in Product Development, Tanya Dattakumar Nadkarni for MS Analytics, Anika Dattaprasad Bhat for PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Aditi Shet Shirodkar for Global MBA (Global Finance Track), Swadeel Deepak Gaad for MSc in Electrical Engineering, Shivan Harish Nadkarni for MSc, M R Renuka Pai for Master in Public Policy, Kulkarni Shashikant Bhat for MSc Historic Preservation, Ericka Helda D’Souza for MSc in Computer Science, Kaushal Nitin Sahakari for PGP Mumbai and Clinton Fernandes for MSc in Mechanical Engineering (Robotics Specialisation).
The Selection Committee headed by Dr Satish R Shetye and having Prof Sunil Kumar Singh, J M Noronha and Daulat Hawaldar as members met last week to select the scholars. Director of Higher Education is Member Secretary of the committee.
The “Goa scholar” students can pursue their education from any recognisd institution in India or abroad in the fields of engineering, dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, architecture, finance, law, fine arts, home science etc.
