23 suspected COVID patients in Goa test negative

PANJIM: Twenty-three patients, who were quarantined for suspected COVID-19, tested negative for the virus, while reports of another 11 patients are awaited.

As per the bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), four new suspects were admitted in Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) on Friday, taking the tally of suspects in the isolation ward to 10.

Of the 34 samples sent for testing, reports of 23 are negative.

On Friday, 56 passengers were placed under home quarantine, while no new person was admitted in the facility quarantine. Currently, there are six patients at the COVID hospital in Margao.

Contacts quarantined at Margao Residency are five, Old Goa Residency are three and one is at the sub-district hospital Ponda.
