MARGAO: Twenty-four-year-old Yash Ghodeker, a resident of Cuncolim died in a collision between a scooter and a car early Sunday morning.
Cuncolim Police said Yash lost his mother recently and was working for a stall of a beverage company.
After work, while returning home, Yash who was riding a scooter, was hit by a car driven by Gaurish Komarpant. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to South Goa District Hospital, Margao but was declared dead.
According to the Cuncolim Police, based on the complaint an offence has been registered against the car driver for driving his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and causing death.
The Cuncolim police visited the spot and conducted panchanama.
Both the vehicles were cleared from site and have been kept at Cuncolim Police Station.
Meanwhile, the body was handed over to family members after conducting a post-mortem examination, at South Goa District Hospital, said PI Cuncolim Diogo Gracias.
