PANJIM: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, who has been under the scanner following purported differences with the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and under criticism from fellow BJP MLA Atanasio Babush Monserrate, put out a tweet on Wednesday suggesting that all is fine. Rane announced that another 250-300 beds and more than 150 HFNOs (High-flow nasal oxygen) in the Super Specialty Block will be commissioned soon.
“Had a detailed meeting with the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today evening. We discussed commissioning another 250-300 beds & more than 150 HFNOs in the Super Specialty Block. In our continuous efforts to reduce mortalities due to Covid-19 in the state of Goa, we will also be working on adding more stringent measures to be put in place. Our team is working persistently to contain the surge in cases and to bring the virus under control,”Rane tweeted.
After Rane admitting deaths occurring at GMC, CM did not seem too pleased when being asked about it. Rane had also skipped the health department meeting.
