MARGAO: A 27-year-old youth, working at a restaurant in Borda, Margao died on the spot after being run over by a train.
According to Konkan Railway Police, the deceased, hailing from Jharkhand, was employed as a cook at a restaurant. However, the police are yet to ascertain his identity.
The police said on Tuesday night, the youth after his duty, went to meet his friends.
Police further informed that the youth, who was in an intoxicated state, was sitting on the railway track when he was crushed to death by a train.
ASI Manoj Mandreker conducted the panchanama and shifted the body to South Goa District Hospital at Margao for post-mortem.
