MAPUSA: A 28-year-old tourist from Nagpur met with a fatal accident on the Mandovi bridge on Friday morning. According to Porvorim police, the deceased, Snehal Dabhale (28), along with her mother was riding toward Panjim on a rented Activa registered GA 03 N 6694. While she was proceeding towards Panjim, she stationed at Mandovi Bridge when a bus named Mauli registered GA 07 S 5077, which was also going towards Panjim while overtaking dashed the bike, causing the rider to fall of the bike and unfortunately, she came under the wheels of the bus. Police that her head got crushed and that she died on the spot. The pillion rider escaped injuries. Porvorim police have booked driver of the bus Damodar Gaus under section 279(rash and begligent driving) and 304(A) of IPC. PSI Pratik Bhat is investigating the case. The deceased along with her family had come to Goa for a holiday. The accident also led to a traffic jam.
