PANJIM: A 28-year-old man allegedly ended his life on Friday by hanging himself inside the toilet in a posh residential complex at Alto-Oitiyant, Taleigao.
The deceased has been identified as Resham Bahadur, a native of Nepal.
According to Panjim police, Bahadur was employed in the residential complex and was residing in the servant room within the complex along with his wife.
He allegedly hanged himself in the toilet after tying a rope to the shower. The door of the toilet broken and the body was sent to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim. The police said that the autopsy report has confirmed that Bahadur died of asphyxiation due to hanging. The police are trying to find out the reasons that compelled Bahadur to take the extreme step and have registered death as unnatural under Section 174 CrPC and has ruled out any foul play.
Later in the day, the body was handed over to his family for final rites.
