PANJIM: Around 8,000 students managed to get admissions across various government and aided colleges for the first-year degree programme in the general stream for the academic year 2022-23.
Of the total 12,000 applications received in the first round of admission, 7,958 got admissions in general stream across various colleges, within the ambit of the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE).
DHS Deputy Director Mahadev Gawas said that the second round of online admissions will be held from July 18-25.
The students can apply to a maximum of three colleges of their choice across Goa with no registration fees and applicant need not buy the prospectus to submit the form online.
“The students who have not been admitted and whose applications status was incomplete in the first round of admission in any of the college can edit their application forms and change their preferences if necessary, using the same credentials used for the first round of admission,” Gawas said.
The government and aided colleges under DHE’s administrative control offer a spectrum of courses including BA, B Com, B Sc, BCA, BBA, LLB, Music, Home Science, B Sc/B Ed, BA/B Ed and several others.
