3 Biharis held in Walke case brought to Goa

Accused had supplied pistol used in the murder of Margao jeweller

Margao: Three accused who were arrested in Bihar on October 24 for supplying pistol to the accused in the Swapnil Walke murder were brought to Goa from Begusarai, Bihar on Monday.  

A team led by the Police Inspector of Crime Branch Philomena Costa with the  help of Bihar Police arrested the three for illegally supplying firearm to the accused in the Walke murder case. 

They were brought to Goa on Monday afternoon by a train. 

After a three day search, the Crime Branch team arrested the accused Shani Kumar age 34 years, a resident of Begusarai, Rahul Kumar aged 19 years, a resident of Bishnupur, Begusarai and the third accused Kundan Kumar aged 26 years also from Begusarai.

It may be recalled that during investigation, it was revealed that the accused in the  Walke case had gone to Bihar and procured a gun which was used in the alleged murder of Walke on September 2. The police will produce the accused before JMFC for custody.
