Pernem: Pernem Police booked three persons for allegedly assaulting a Tuem resident and his wife.
According to Pernem Police, the wife of Vidhyadhar Naik, a resident of Tuem filed complaint against two locals and an unknown person for allegedly trespassing into her house and further with common intention assaulted her and her husband causing severe injuries.
Pernem Police informed that at around 12.30 pm on Thursday, Luis Martins, Ester Martins and another person allegedly trespassed into the house of the complainant and assaulted Vidhyadhar Naik with common intention to kill him over previous enmity. While trying to save Vidhyadhar, the complainant rushed in during which the accused pushed her as she fell and sustained injuries.
According to available information, the accused entered the house and assaulted Vidhyadhar, who sustained neck and head injuries. Later, when the family members raised an alarm, the neighbours rushed to their aid. All the three accused fled leaving their scooters at the spot.
The injured persons were immediately shifted to Tuem Community Health Centre and are undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile Pernem Police conducted the panchanama and seized the vehicles.
Pernem Police have booked the three persons under Sections 441, 324, 323, 504 and 562 (34)IPC.
