3 GMC docs booked for harassment

PANJIM: Three doctors including a head of a department at Goa Medical College have been booked, after a complaint of harassing a medical student was filed, police said.

PANJIM: Three doctors including a head of a department at Goa Medical College have been booked, after a complaint of harassing a medical student was filed, police said. 
The women police station has booked them under sections 354-A (assault or use of criminal force to women with intend to disrobe her) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC.  
According to the police, the victim who is a MD student alleged that the doctors, named in the complaint and the FIR copy, have been sexually harassing her since February 2013.
“She complained that they mentally tortured her, passed derogatory remarks at her, intimidated her, denied her from performing duties and attempted to physically assault her,” said a police officer.
The police have already registered FIR against the three senior doctors and investigation is underway. A senior officer said that the victim and the doctors will be called for recording the statements.
