VASCO: Vasco police have arrested three youth from Baina in connection with a robbery at Baina beach. The accused first caught hold of a youth at the beach. They then took him to isolated place, stripped off his shirt, forced him to dance, assaulted him with sticks, took his ATM card and PIN and withdrew Rs 5,000 from his account.
The incident was reported on Thursday night by Uddesh Savant (27), resident of Zuarinagar.
The case was reported before Vasco police after which 3 Baina youth – Salman Shaikh (23), Nawaz Mohiddin Shaikh (18) and one Nizammuddin Sheikh (20) were nabbed.

The accused have been booked under Sections 392, 394 and 506(II) read with Section 34 IPC and were produced before Vasco JMFC on Saturday. Salman and Nawaz were remanded to 13 days judicial custody while Nizamuddin was released on bail.
