3 held for flesh trade

PERNEM, MAY 9
Two agents and a sex worker were arrested by Pernem police at Paraskadem-Pernem on Thursday evening.
The woman hails from West Bengal, but she along with the other two accused, Kushal Rao and Mohammad Ibrahim, were residing at a rented house in Karraswada-Mapusa. A police constable allegedly involved in the sex racket has already been suspended by North Goa SP Tony Fernandes.
There have been increasing reports of prostitution activities at some hotels along the highway at Pernem and locals are planning to launch an agitation to force authorities to stop the illegal trade.
