VASCO: Verna Police on Monday arrested three persons for allegedly organising dhirio (bullfight) on Sunday. Police also seized the two bulls.
According to Verna Police, on receiving information of a bullfight organised near Sonar Wada, Pinni, they rushed to the site.
Verna Police arrested the trio namely Sydney D’Costa from Verna, Caitano Braganza from Cansaulim and Roquezinho D’Silva from Nagoa, who were later released on bail.
Verna Police seized the bulls and registered an offence under the Cruelty to Animals Act.
Verna Police is further investigating the case under the supervision of PI Harish Madkaikar.
