3 held for stoning bus at Margao KTC stand

MARGAO, DEC 20  
A Goa-bound Pune bus was stoned at the KTC bus stand here on early Saturday morning.
Two girls and a boy were later arrested by the Margao police in connection with the stoning incident. The bus driver sustained minor injuries.
Margao PSI Sawant informed that the miscreants stoned the bus, no sooner the bus arrived at the KTC bus stand at 8 am, damaging all the window panes, including the front and rear wind screen, causing a loss of around Rs one lakh.
He said the two girls and the boy were arrested for unlawful assembly, causing injury to the bus driver and endangering lives. They were released this evening on bail of Rs 10,000 each. The trio, however, denied their involvement in the incident.
PSI Sawant attributed the bus stoning incident to an incident at Pune wherein the two girls were made to light from this Goa-bound private bus over the question of seats and board a KTC bus. Further investigations are on.
