MARGAO: The Railway Protection Force nabbed three persons in connection with a theft reported in Mangaluru-Matsyagandha Express at Murudeshwar recently. Valuables worth Rs 4.7 lakh including cash, mobile phone and gold jewellery have been recovered.
On receiving information from the auto-rickshaw drivers of Murudeshwar, the RPF team arrested the trio, who were travelling in a local bus with stolen items.
The accused were brought to Karwar Police Station for interrogation. The accused namely Dilip Mishra, Mukaddar and Kullu Nishad confessed that they were involved in many such theft cases.
