QUEPEM: Quepem police arrested three juveniles on charges of raping a five-year-old girl in Quepem on Wednesday.
According to Quepem police, the three minor boys, who were staying in the victim’s neighbourhood, were sexually abusing the girl repeatedly for the last one month. The incident came to light after the girl complained of pain in her abdomen and later disclosed the matter to her parents.
Acting on the complaint, the three accused minors were arrested under Section 376 and sent to Apna Ghar at Merces, after conducting medical examination at the GMC.
“The victim girl was also medically examined and sent home with her parents,” police informed.
The incident has sent shock waves in the locality, especially as the victim is just five years old and the perpertrators of the crime too are minors..
