Panjim: Goa government on Monday ordered an inquiry
through Independent agency into the collapse of a slab of Kala Academy building
located in Panaji. A portion of a slab of Kala Academy building collapsed on
Monday. The building is under renovation. After the incident, State Chief
Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel has ordered Principal Chief Engineer of Public
Works Department to investigate and submit preliminary inquiry report regarding
the collapse.
Meanwhile, the opposition MLA’s Carlos Ferreira along with opposition
colleagues Yuri Alemao, Vijai Sardesai
has moved adjournment motion in Goa Assembly seeking suspension of Question
Hour to discuss urgent matter regarding collapse of Kala Academy.
