MARGAO: Margao Municipal Council on Friday sealed three shops at Apna Bazar complex near Grace Church for carrying on business without trade license or for carrying on business not stipulated in the trade license.
Two of the sealed shops were named as Belsons Shoe Gallery, while the third shop was called Archies Gallery; and when the MMC team arrived at the site, the owners could not produce the documents.
Chief Officer Siddhivinayak Naik said this surprise check on Friday was conducted after publishing an advertisement on August 14, directing the traders to get their documents, including trade license, updated.
Vodafone gallery was also raided on Friday, but it had all the documents.
