3 youth held for burglaries in Anjuna

MAPUSA, JUNE 1
Three youth were arrested in connection with burglaries in Anjuna.
Anjuna police identified two accused as Desmond Fernandes (23) of Assagao and Xavier Diniz (20) of Xetia Waddo-Mapusa, while the third accused (minor) has been referred to Apna Ghar in Merces.
Police informed that the stolen items, which have been recovered at the behest of the accused, include melted gold, watch, two laptops, camera and a music system.
According to Anjuna police, the accused had reportedly committed thefts on February 21 and 23 this year at Badem, Assagao.
The accused have been remanded to 3 days police custody by JMFC, Mapusa. Police is investigating the case under the supervision of Mapusa SDPO DySP Sammy Tavares.
