The State government on Thursday notified the Goa Housing Board (Registration, Allotment and Sale of Tenements) Rules, 2020.

As per the new rules, 30% of residential flats built by the Board will be reserved for locals of the area where all future residential projects will be constructed. The allotment of residential units to locals will be through an e-auction or via lots, as the case may be.

Currently, there is no specific reservation for the locals from the area, where the dwelling units are proposed to come up.
