PANJIM: As many as 1512 beneficiaries including healthcare and frontline workers and those above 60 years of age with comorbidities received their precautionary or booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Goa on day one and two of the nationwide drive.
Till date 11,27,653 people have been fully vaccinated in Goa with both doses, while 2,14,413 have received only the first dose of the vaccine.
On Tuesday, a total of 5847 beneficiaries including students aged between 15 and 18 years were administered Covishield and Covaxin vaccines at the permanent centres and at schools.
It may be recalled that the Union health ministry on Monday had issued precaution doses for healthcare workers (HCWs), frontline workers (FLWs) and people who are 60 or older with comorbidities.
According to the guidelines, all HCWs, FLWs and citizens aged 60 years or above with comorbidities will be able to access the precaution dose through their existing Co-WIN account.
