MARGAO: 31-year-old Jesus D’Costa from Padribhat, Sao Jose de Areal died following an accident between a car and a two-wheeler at Nuvem on Friday night.
The Maina-Curtorim police disclosed that the grievously injured Jesus was declared dead on arrival when he was rushed to South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao.
The car driver did not suffer any major injury while Jesus sustained head injuries.
Police disclosed that Jesus was returning from work at Verna when there was a collision with the car moving in the opposite direction.
PSI Praful Giri visited the accident site and conducted the panchanama. Both the ill-fated vehicles were removed from the road. No case was registered till filing of this report as all facts have not come on police record. Meanwhile, the body has been preserved at the SGDH, Margao for post-mortem examination.
