MARGAO: Thirty-five scooters loaded on the upper level of a container truck were destroyed in a fire at Ambaji.
The loss has be estimated to be over Rs 25 lakh.
The container truck had come from Honda Motors production plant from Manesar, Gurgaon, Haryana. As it reached Nuvem, the upper level of the container truck caught fire. It took more than four fire tenders, 3 from Margao and one from Verna to douse the fire. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. The fire personnel managed to save the vehicles which were on the lower level of the container.
