PANJIM: PWD Minister Ramkrishna (Sudin) Dhavalikar has now informed that the new third Mandovi Bridge would be inaugurated on January 26 or 27, subject to the availability of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
“We will try to inaugurate the new Mandovi Bridge on January 26 or 27 as per availability of Prime Minister and Gadkari,” Dhavalikar said after taking stock of the works completed.
Earlier, the GSIDC vice-chairman had said the bridge works would be completed by January 12 and later stated it would be handed over to government by January 18.
Initially, the bridge was to be inaugurated in March 2017 but due to litigations and financial issues the bridge completion was delayed.
