Calangute Police arrested two persons on charges of stealing concrete mixer worth Rs 25,000 at Saligao.
According to Calangute police, Parvej Yakub Khan and Imtiaz were arrested after they were caught red-handed while stealing concrete mixer in an open rickshaw on Monday. Police also detained the rickshaw.
Parvej has been remanded to four days police custody, while Imtiaz was released. Santosh Vengurlekar was the investigating officer.
In an another incident, Anjuna police arrested two persons, including a minor, while allegedly attempting to decamp with spares of the vehicles at Vagator.
According to Anjuna police, Rohan Thakkur (21) and a minor were arrested while attempting to forcibly break open the vehicles to steal spares and other items.
On noticing the duo, the locals caught hold of them and gave a beating, before handing them over to the police.
