PANJIM: Crime Branch arrested four persons of the six who were wanted in a robbery of new denomination notes amounting to Rs 34 lakh at Saligao.
Two more persons Vinit Shet and Pritesh Mayekar are still at large in this connection.
The police said that the four persons namely Antonio Paulo D’Cruz, Sameer Satardekar, Raju Maithi and Siddesh Fatarpekar were arrested on Monday.
Further investigations continue in a bid to nab the other two accused – Vinit Shet who had allegedly snatched the bag of the complainant containing cash and Pritesh Mayekar accompanying him.
Police Inspector Dattaguru Sawant is investigating the case.
