MARGAO: A day after the 900 India Reserve Battalion (IRB) personnel left Goa to Uttar Pradesh for election duty on Tuesday, there was some controversy in Margao after 40 cartridges were found to be missing.

The Goa police staff had left from Margao Railway Station and the station was pinpointed as the location where the cartridges could have gone missing.

Margao Railway Police immediately began investigations given the severity of the offence if the cartridges were indeed missing.

However, later after investigations, the cartridges were found in a gutter at Davorlim later on Wednesday.

While police officials are still conducting further investigations as to how all of this happened, sources stated that the bag containing the missing cartridges was found on the ring road along the fire station and Davorlim circle.
