Goa: In a tragic incident, 45-year-old Ranjit Keni from Panjim was rescued by the Coastal Police and the fire department after he leaped from the Mandovi Bridge on Friday afternoon. Despite their efforts, Keni was later pronounced dead at the Goa Medical College, where he had been transported for medical care.
The incident took place as Keni was traveling with his family. Reports indicate that Keni was reportedly grappling with mental instability at the time of the tragic event.
Local authorities and rescue teams promptly responded to the emergency, mobilizing a swift and coordinated effort to rescue Keni from the perilous situation. However, the relentless efforts were in vain, and Keni succumbed to his injuries.
