47 HSSC students pass after re-evaluation

PANJIM: As many as 47 students, who failed to clear the HSSC board examination 2019, were declared pass by the Goa Board after re-evaluation of their answer sheets. 
Total 996 students had applied for re-evaluation of their various answer sheets before the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE). As per the results declared by the Board, almost all 996 students’ witnessed rise in their marks for that particular subjects. 
GBSHSE Chairman Ramakrishna Samant said that post re-evaluation, 47 students are declared as pass, while in case of rest, it has helped them in improving their percentage. 
With passing of 47 more students, the total pass percentage for HSSC stood at 89.86 percent as against 89.59 percent, as announced earlier on April 30. 
As many as 16,952 students appeared for the examination, of which 15, 234 have now cleared it. 
Meanwhile, 1800 students are currently answering the ‘Improvement Examination’ conducted by the Board. Total 1,094 boys and 706 girls are answering the examination. 
The examination that has begun from June 7 will conclude on June 14.  “The exam is answered by those students who are looking for improvement in their marks,” Samant said.
