PANJIM: The board of directors of Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) has decided to induct 48 electric buses under the Smart City program. The new addition to the existing fleet of buses will ease congestion in Panjim, Porvorim, and a few peripheral areas.
The board meeting headed by KTC MD Derrick Pereira Neto took the resolution on Thursday, following which a letter of approval will be awarded to Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited.
“The board has approved to include these electric buses to ply in and around Panjim city. The office goers and students will benefit from this initiative,” said Neto.
