CALANGUTE: Calangute police arrested five persons over the weekend for allegedly being involved in vehicle lifting and snatching cellphones and recovered six stolen vehicles worth Rs one crore, cellphones and one laptop worth Rs 15,0000 approximately.
Calangute police said on May 15, an offence for criminal breach of trust was registered against the unknown accused person for taking on rent at Baga, Calangute, complainant’s vehicles and did not return the vehicles by the given date and time.
Two persons were arrested in this connection. Three persons were also arrested for snatching mobile phones.
