PERNEM: Robert Celsitin Fernandes, a 52-year-old resident of Girkar Waddo, Arambol, died in a self- accident on early Friday.
Police stated that the tragic accident occurred while Fernandes was riding his bike near Gulza Cafe in Varcha Waddo, Arambol when he lost control over his vehicle, fell off and was sweriously injured.
Bystanders and a foreign national rushed to assist Fernandes and summoned the emergency medical services. Fernandes was subsequently transported to CHC Tuem for urgent medical attention, however, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the health centre. The exact nature and extent of his injuries remain undisclosed as investigations continue.
Upon receiving the distressing report, police officials swiftly dispatched an officer to CHC Tuem to verify the details. Subsequent investigations confirmed the identity of the deceased as Robert Celsitin Fernandes, from Arambol.
