MARGAO: One Shivalingappa Ligayat, aged 58 years old, who had been residing near carbon factory, Nessai, Salcete succumbed after he accidentally fell from the bridge at Don Khuris, Padribhat on Monday.
According to the Konkan Railway Police, the native of Karnataka fell underneath railway track and sustained injuries and was taken to Hospicio Hospital Margao.
However, while undergoing treatment in hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The Konkan Railway Police conducted all legal formalities and the body has been preserved in the morgue to conduct post mortem examination. Police have ruled out any foul play in the case.
