6 more COVID deaths in State

PANJIM: Goa registered six more deaths on Sunday taking the tally to 576.

According Directorate of Health Services (DHS), all the deaths were reported in the Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim.

“The victims on Sunday had been in the intensive care unit for an average of at least 10 to 12 days and have received standardised care as per protocol but despite optimum treatment, they succumbed to COVID-19 infection,” the Directorate of Health Services  said.

The victims included 59-year-old male from Neura, 73-year-old man from Mapusa, 75-year-old male from Valpoi, 76-year-old man from Orlim, 50-year-old male from Mandrem and 83-year-old female from Panjim.

On Sunday, Goa reported 211 new cases and 321 recoveries.

The active cases in the State have now come down to 2,576.
