VASCO: Six students were not allowed to appear for the Nationality Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) as they reached late at the exam centre in Vasco.
The students blamed a wrong address, mismatch of GPS location with the actual exam centre location for their late arrival.
Trupti Bansur from Belgaum said she was not allowed to enter the centre because she reached four minutes late. The gates of KV-II, AIPMT exam centre 60904 closed at 9.30 am.
The address on her entrance ticket was mentioned as Kendriya Vidyala no-2, near airport road, Shantinagar, Vasco da Gama, Panaji, Goa.
“My uncle and I left Belgaum at 5.30 am and reached Panjim by 7.15 am. Being new to Goa, we referred to the Google search only to discover that the exam centre was not in Panjim but in Vasco. We rushed to Vasco but were late by four minutes,” Trupti said, adding it was actually a mistake on their part to add Panjim to the Vasco centre address.
Five more students, who travelled from Maharashtra and Karnataka, also reached late because there were no proper road signs on the NH-17 B to direct them to the exam centre.
