I am Candidate of Ministers Choice, campaign disliked by Voters.
Even though elections are not contested on party lines in Ponda Taluka in some wards there is lot of pressure built by some Ministers and Candidates supported by him on voters, especially those who owe their jobs to the minister. People are blaming politicians for taking an interest in panchayat election and this leads to them missing good and smart candidates. The minister supports a low profile candidate who wins votes but affects the prospect of a good candidate. This is the reason why many people keeps away and don’t take part in election that affect village development in the long run.
