PANJIM: Close on the heels of transfers of deputy superintendents of police and police inspectors, the Police Department on Wednesday transferred 690 personnel including sub-inspectors, assistant sub-inspectors and head constables.
Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) S M Prabhudessai, acting on directives of the Election Commission of India, effected mass transfers late Tuesday night.
Of the total, 84 PSIs, 108 ASIs and 498 HCs were transferred en masse within the Department and the order has instructed them to join their new place of posting immediately.
