PANJIM: The government has effected a series of promotions and transfers within the civil service by promoting seven officers on ad-hoc basis to Junior Scale of the Goa Civil Service with immediate effect. The government transferred SP Atmaram Deshpande IPS to Police Training School, Valpoi and replaced him with Brahma Singh IPS.
The officers who have been promoted are — Sangeeta Sakaram Rawool, Commercial Tax Officer as Under Secretary (Health-I), Umakant Nhanu Korkankar Commercial Tax Officer as Deputy Collector & SDO-II, South, Margao, Fransquinha Oliveira Commercial Tax Officer as Under Secretary (Public Grievances), Paresh M Fal Desai Mamlatdar, Sattari as Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Sudhir S Kerkar Mamlatdar, Tiswadi as Deputy Commissioner, Corporation of City of Panaji, Satish B Desai Mamlatdar, Pernem as Additional Director of Municipal Administration and Sangeeta S Naik Joint Mamlatdar-III, Ponda as Administrator of Communidade, South.
The appointments will be for a year or till the post is filled on regular basis, whichever is earlier.
Rawool, Korkankar and Oliveira will continue to hold their present posts till 31st March 2013 or till they are substituted. Desai, Kerkar, Desai and Naik will also hold the posts in addition to their own duties, until further orders.
Vasanti Parvatkar, Under Secretary (AR) will hold the charge as Under Secretary (Estt), Law in addition to her own duties, Arvind B. Khutkar, Deputy Director (Admn-II) Tourism will hold charge of the post of OSD to Minister for Tribal Affairs, in addition to his own duties, Harish N Adconkar, Under Secretary (Home –I) will hold charge of the post of Under Secretary (GA-I) in addition to his own duties, Sagun R Velip, Deputy Collector & SDM, Dharbandora will also hold charge of the post of Deputy Collector & SDM, Quepem, Gourish Kurtikar, Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, will hold additional charge of the post of Deputy Director (Admn), Electricity Department, Sheru Shirodkar, Deputy Collector, DRO, North will hold charge as Deputy Director (Admn), Food and Drugs Administration, Gaurish Shankwalkar, Deputy Collector & SDM, Mormugao to hold post of Deputy Collector, Rent Control, Mormugao, Darshana S Narulkar, Deputy Director (Adm), Transport Department to also hold the post of Deputy Director II, (GMC).
Francisco XL Ferrao, Deputy Director, Shanti Makwana Harding, Assistant Director has to report to Personnel for further posting The posting of Pravin Barad, Shivaji Dessai and Bhushan Savoikar will be on deputation.
