MARGAO: The Judicial Magistrate First Class Margao remanded Aslam Khan to seven days police custody on Tuesday.
Aslam of Baina was arrested for the alleged murder of singer Anwar Shaikh, resident of a colony near MES College.
Verna PI Prashal Naik Dessai, investigating the murder case, said that an offence under Section 302 of IPC has been registered against Aslam Khan.
Verna police said they have recovered the weapon used by Aslam to kill Anwar and their investigation has revealed that there was an issue between accused and deceased over lending of money.
