7 injured in mishap at Vasco
VASCO (HR):?Six labourers and a car driver were injured, when a vehicle hit the labourers at a construction site along the highway near Jetty, Mormugao, on Sunday evening.
According to Mormugao police, the accident occurred at about 3.15 pm when the car (GA-06-A-6015) was proceeding from Vasco towards Sada. On reaching a sharp curve near jetty, car driver Premanand Parab lost control over the vehicle and hit the labourers, who were constructing the retaining wall.
The injured labourers were rushed to Cottage Hospital in Chicalim, from where seriously injured Nilamma, Kamala and Malkanna were shifted to GMC Hospital in Bambolim, while Malkappa, Hanumanta and Malava were discharged after administering the first aid.
Driver Parab escaped with minor injury.
