PONDA: Ponda Police seized seven vehicles including two from Karnataka for unloading slag into four local trucks at isolated spot at Farmagudi in a suspicious manner.
Following complaints from locals, the Ponda police rushed to the spot at 7 pm and seized around 62 metres of slag from two Karnataka-registered trucks. The slag was unloaded into four local trucks with the help of an earthmoving machine. Ponda police seized both the trucks from Karnataka, along with the four trucks and the JCB. Besides 62 metres of slag waste mixture from the trucks was also seized.
Police are verifying the documents which mention the material as slag. No one has been detained in this connection.
