The incomplete bridge which is supposed to connect Keri to Tiracol is causing great inconvenience to people. The bridge, which now looks like a hideous structure, was supposed to be a direct link from Keri to Tiracol. People face problems with the ferry service since the ferry breaks down anytime and the low tide prevents the ferry from touching the ramp.
The construction work of this bridge project commenced in February 2014 when former Goa Chief Minister (late) Manohar Parrikar laid the foundation stone for this project. After the completion of 38 per cent work, NGT issued a stop work notice for this project when Goa Foundation challenged the CRZ clearance, which was granted by the GCZMA for the construction of the bridge across the river.
