MARGAO: All the eight gram sabhas scheduled on Sunday in Salcete are expected to discuss the issue of coal handling and transportation in Goa along with the inclusion of six Goan rivers in the National Waterways list as notices of discussing these issues have been submitted to all the panchayats.
Even though these two issues were discussed at the last gram sabha of Curtorim, they may take it up again for discussion tomorrow, revealed the secretary Dinesh Amonkar.
At Davorlim Dicarpale though the notice to discuss these issues has been served upon the panchayat, the actual motion that will be moved has not been furnished according to Secretary Custodio Faria.
Sarzora Sarpanch revealed that the proposal from Reliance to set up a Jio tower in their village will be put up for discussion at the gram sabha, while at Sao Jose de Areal, the double tracking of the railway lines is likely to be the topic of discussion.
