MARGAO: An 80-year-old woman from St Jose de Areal succumbed to burn injuries at the Goa Medical College (GMC) Hospital, Bambolim, while undergoing treatment on Friday.
According to Maina Curtorim police, one Luiza Cardozo, unmarried staying alone at home, had sustained grievous burn injuries while she was preparing tea on the chullah (gas fire) by using kerosene at her residence.
Loutolim man found dead: Luis Fernandes, aged 69, from Rassaim, Loutolim, who had gone fishing in at khayjan land was found unconscious and later declared dead by the doctor at South Goa District Hospital, Margao.
According to Maina Curtorim police Luis had gone for fishing at khayjan land opposite to his house and did not return back till late night.
