Ponda: South Goa Collector declared a house in ward number 3 at Deulwada, Borim near Top Cola as a micro containment zone after nine members of the family were found to be Covid-19 positive.
According to sources at Shiroda PHC, of the nine members, one had travel history from Mumbai while another family member is a dentist at the government hospital in the State.
The incident came to light after the dentist conducted her test which turned to be positive. Later, she conducted the test of all other family members at Loutolim and all of them tested positive for Covid.
Later she informed the Shiroda PHC officials who inturn informed the Ponda Deputy Collector following which he referred the matter to South Goa Collector.
Five males members of the family are fully vaccinated while the remaining four who are women have taken the first dose of vaccine.
Earlier in March 21, Matruchaya Dhavlim was declared a micro containment zone after some inmates were found Covid positive.
